Биография Simon And Garfunkel

Образовалась группа в 1964 году, в Нью-Йорке, распалась в 1970-м.

Дуэт Simon & Garfunkel (Paul Simon и Art Garfunkel) завоевал успех и известность в 60-х годах. За 6 лет существования группы (1964-1970) эти два талантливых музыканта сумели сделать фолк-рок серьезной художественной формой, их имена в одном ряду с такими знаменитыми исполнителями, как Everly Brothers, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton и Peter, Paul и Mary.

Начало.

Оба выросли в Кью Гарденс, Квинс, Нью-Йорк. Познакомились ребята, когда учились в средней школе, выступали в стиле ду-уоп в разных группах. В 1955 году записали свою первую композицию - "The Girl For Me", а в 1957-м стали местными знаменитостями. Демо-запись "Hey, Schoolgirl" привлекла внимание Sid Prosen из Big Records.
